Like many other schools in Fort Portal, Kitarasa was affected by the earthquake of 1994 and some of its classrooms became unusable. .
In a bid to rejuvenate the potential for this school, which was intended to serve 600 students, OBAAT refurbished 2 buildings, installed a water harvesting system and removed dangerous materials from the site.
The school is based in a picturesque landscape with a beautiful view of the mountains. The children here love playing football, singing and dancing.
The head teacher Mary is a very friendly and righteous lady who will win your heart immediately. She would appreciate volunteers for teaching, running activities and to assist with their talent development programme.
